  • What do you think Human Performance Technology entails?
  • I think that Human Performance Technology entails a more holistic view of the levers that impact human performance, outside of just Learning & Development, and how one can systemically approach solving problems with Human Performance using those levers.
  • What skills and knowledge do you already have that you feel relate to the content of this course?
  • I think a systemic approach can be used to solving Human Performance problems, just like it is used to solve Learning problems, e.g., needs analysis. In addition, I think communication skills and stakeholder management are critical for success in both fields.
  • What do you hope to gain from this course?
  • I hope to better understand the differences between Human Performance Technology and Instructional Design. In doing so, I’m curious if my interests will lead me down one path versus the other in my career.
  • What do you expect to contribute to this course?
  • I can contribute my experiences as a learning solution consultant. I do not have experience (or I don’t believe I do) in the human performance technology space.
  • How do you believe you will use what you learn in this course in your future career?
  • I think what I learn can help me lead my work with a more consultative approach. It may also shift where I want to take my career.
